Marjoram Organic
Garden marjoram is an annual or biennial herbaceous plant. All above-ground parts are rich in essential oils and used as a spice. It is also known as wild oregano or Spanish Hops due to its cone-shaped flowers resembling those of hops.
Origanum majorana is the spice we call Marjoram, while its very close relative Origanum vulgare is the spice we call Oregano.
Marjoram has a mild and delicate taste, whereas oregano has a strong and distinct flavor. This Marjoram is used in the Herb de Provence blend as oregano.
Latin name: Origanum majorana
