Just Coffee’s roastery is located on a farm in the scenic and idyllic Jyllinge just outside Roskilde. The roastery is placed in the farm’s former barn, accompanied by a charming little farm shop. It was all started by the farm’s owners, Patrick Beckett and Maria Christoffersen, as a response to the lack of organic and flavorful coffee.

This need led the family to establish their own roastery, where sustainability, quality and taste are at the core. They exclusively import organic and sustainable beans, which are roasted freshly on the farm before being packed and delivered.

The roastery’s ambition is to highlight the unique character and flavor of each variety. They therefore develop blends to suit every taste, consisting of 100% highland arabica. Their range includes both light roasts full of complexity and darker roasts known for their depth and richness. Every variety is produced with respect and genuine love for the craft.

A roastery with attitudes

Just Coffee is more than just a producer of delicious blends. The roastery actively promotes sustainable trade and production within the industry.

For example, they only source beans grown by small-scale producers, often family-run farms. Their packaging is made from biodegradable materials, and all labels are printed on 100% recycled paper.

Sustainability is woven into all aspects of their daily work. Just Coffee is committed to five principles that guide their trade practices:

• Paying a minimum price higher than the fair trade standard

• Pre-financing coffee before harvest to ease the farmers’ financial burden

• Establishing long-term relationships with producers
