Just Coffee – Danish, organic, freshly roasted coffee

Just Coffee's roastery is located on a farm in the scenic and idyllic Jyllinge just outside Roskilde. The roastery is located in the farm's former barn, which is also accompanied by a charming little farm shop. It was all started by the farm's owners, Patrick Beckett and Maria Christoffersen, as an answer to the lack of organic and tasty coffee.

This lack led the family to start their own roastery, where sustainability, quality and taste are the central points at the core. They only import organic and sustainable beans, and the coffee is freshly roasted on the farm, just before it is packed and delivered to us.

The roastery focuses on bringing out the character and flavor of the different varieties, and therefore works to develop blends for every taste consisting of 100% highland arabica. They produce both light-roasted combinations, which contain complexity, as well as full-toned and dark roasts, which are characterized by a greater depth. Just Coffee offers a fantastic selection of tasty varieties, all of which are produced with respect and love for the profession.

A roastery with attitudes

Just Coffee is a roastery that does not just focus on developing combinations of tasty coffee blends. The roastery works actively to promote sustainable trade and production within the industry.
This means, for example, that they only buy beans that are grown by smaller producers, which usually consist of single families. In addition, the coffee bags are made from a biodegradable material, just as their labels consist of 100% recycled paper.

Just Coffee includes sustainability in all parts of their daily operations. The roastery continuously works with 5 goals, which maintain their standards for sustainable trade:

1. The minimum price must be higher than the fair trade standard.
2. Just Coffee would like to pay the price of the coffee in advance of the harvest, to ease the financial pressure that comes with the start of the harvest season.
3. Just Coffee would like to establish long-term relationships with producers.
4. Just Coffee only buys organically certified coffee.
5. Just Coffee wants to support family producers, which can help small farmers continue to own their own land.
