What is Jasmine tea?

Jasmine tea comes from China and is one of the oldest and most used aromas for tea. Shortly after the heat treatment, the picked jasmine flowers come together with the tea leaves. Here, the tea leaves absorb the scent and taste of the jasmine flowers.

The whole mixture then goes through a new heat treatment to remove the rest of the moisture in the jasmine flowers. The flowers are usually removed at the end, as they have now given all their glory to the tea leaves - however, in some cases, new jasmine flowers are added as decoration.
