Jasmine Pearls
Small fine balls that are handmade, tied from a green Chinese tea leaf around a small jasmine flower petal and a single white shoot. They are made in the Fujian province in the small towns. It is usually the young girls who sit and hand roll them. But in these times, many young girls go to university and get a good education, so gradually it is the old "girls" who sit and roll them. It's interesting to look at and I've tried making them, but mine just look like a little piece of crumpled paper.
Country of origin: Fujian province in China
