The story of Bagsværd Licorice began in 2014, when two chemical engineers, Søren Beier and Morten Kornbech Larsen, started to rethink Bagsværd licorice as we know it today.

Inspired by their passion for both flavor and precision, they created a licorice that should be cut into pieces like confectionery – balancing the sweet softness of caramel with the powerful taste of licorice.

What started with a small production of just six slabs a day has today grown into a nationwide favorite. The range now includes everything from mini slabs to chocolate-covered variants, all crafted with the same dedication to taste and quality.
