Description

Japanese Miyazaki Gyokuro green tea organic

Japan produces truly excellent green tea. This tea is grown in the Okabe region on the island of Kyoto, one of the most important areas for the cultivation and production of Gyokuro teas. Its distinctive feature is that it is grown in the shade. In the weeks before harvest, the plantations are covered with sheets or mats that prevent sunlight from penetrating. In this way, the plant secretes more minerals and chlorophyll.

Gyokuro is a Sencha tea that is hand-picked and handled gently and with great reverence throughout the entire process.

The taste of Miyazaki's Gyokuro tea is elegant, sweet, and vegetal at the same time, slightly seaweed-like and exceptionally smooth.
