Green Tea Wild Yunnan
This tea is a rarity. It comes from the original tea plant, Camelia Taliensis, a wild-growing tree with large leaves. It grows only in the southwestern part of Yunnan province in China and in the highlands of Thailand and Myanmar, where entire forests of it can be found. Camelia Taliensis is the 'father plant' to the two well-known tea plants, Camelia Sinensis (the Chinese tea tree) and Camelia Assamica (the Indian tea tree).
This tea is made in the style of a Chun Mee tea.
From this original tea tree, the expensive Pu-Erh teas and the very special and costly white teas like Moonlight White are produced.
Since it grows wild, it cannot be certified as organic. It offers a very different and very fresh taste of tea with subtle green notes.
