What is organic tea?
When you buy organic tea from Nordic Tea, you get tea that is grown without pesticides and according to organic standards. Many tea plantations use pesticides to keep pests away, but this also means that residues of pesticides can remain on the tea leaves.
There is, however, strict control of pesticide residues in the tea that is imported to Europe, and the tea's pesticide values are always checked in Denmark. Therefore, there is no health risk from drinking a non-organic tea bought in Denmark.
However, there may be other reasons for choosing an organic tea.
Our manufacturers and wholesalers are connected to control organizations that are highly respected and that ensure that all controls are punctually complied with. That's why you can safely buy our organic tea. Organically grown tea is also called biodynamic tea and in English it is called organic tea.
Selected organic teas
Green tea comes from the Camellia Sinensis bush, which is also the bush used for black and white tea. However, the individual teas have different tastes and properties. The difference is found in the individual treatment the tea leaves receive.
Since green tea has oxidized for a shorter time than, for example, black tea, many of the tea's natural ingredients have also been retained.
