Lapsang Souchong
This tea, which smells and tastes of smoke, comes from Fujian province in China. The tea has large open leaves with a sharp smoky taste.
This tea is picked from April to November. It is not the young leaves and top shoots that are picked for this tea, but the leaves that sit far down on the tea bushes. After fermentation, the leaves are smoked over pine fires, which contain plenty of resin
Lapsang Souchong is rarely drunk neat, but is often mixed with other types of tea.
Brewing instructions:
- 4-5 teaspoons per liters of water
- 100 o hot water
- 2-4 minutes drawing time
