Marjoram organic
Garden marjoram is an annual or biennial herbaceous plant. All above-ground parts are rich in essential oils and are used as herbs. It is also called wild oregano or "Spanish Hop" because of its boiled flowers that resemble those of hops.
Origanum majorana is the spice we call Merian, while its very close relative Origanum vulgari is the spice we call Oregano
Marjoram is mild and delicate in taste, while oregano is strong and distinct in taste. It is this Merian that is used in the Herb de Provence mixture as oregano.
