Rosemary organic
is an evergreen semi-shrub that is often traded and grown as if it were a perennial. It is grown for its aromatic leaves, which are used in numerous Southern-inspired dishes.
History
Rosemary is a very common plant in the Alps and has grown there since the Middle Ages. Today, rosemary is found all over the world. Stories say that the plant got its name from the Virgin Mary, who placed her cloak on a rosemary bush with a white flower on top. The flower turned blue during the night, and the plant became known under the name, "Mary's rose".
For many years, indeed for millennia, this plant has been used as an herb and preservative in various products. For example, it has been used in cosmetics, hair products, but also as herbal medicine against a wide range of diseases.
