Brown mustard seeds
comes from the black Mustard plant Brassica Nigra which is more related to cabbage than to yellow mustard.
Black mustard has a strong essential oil inside, which we use for different types of mustard. The plant blooms with yellow flowers, which after flowering set seeds in "bags" like pea pods.
