Mozambique OPI Monte Metilile black tea organic
This tea comes from the Monte Metilile plantation in the Gurue district of Zambezia province.
This plantation is one of the largest in Mozambique and was started in the 1950s by the Portuguese company Companhia União Fabril (CUF), but was nationalized by Mozambique in 1975.
The tea is a classic black African tea, and has a soft, slightly sweet taste, which is also characteristic of some of the Chinese teas, as they use the traditional Chinese methods to make these teas.
