Gunpowder green tea organic
This organic Chinese Gunpowder tastes great and is easy to brew. The tea is today classified as 2nd grade quality, as the same plantation has also had their small leaf gunpowder classified as 1st grade by the authorities. This quality is called "Temple of Heaven". Click here if you want to see it.
Gunpowder is a very unique green tea and got its name because the tightly rolled green leaves resemble the powder used in cannons on 18th century British ships. These are large half tea leaves that are rolled tightly. The tight rolling helps keep Gunpowder fresher and thus gives it a longer shelf life than other green teas. When fully soaked, the balls unfold into whole leaves. The taste is wonderful, rich and very filling. Processed properly in brewing, this tea has no bitterness.
You can also make a fantastic iced tea from this Gunpowder, which the whole family will enjoy. Or try making green tea sorbet from it, adding a little sugar and lemon.

- Dosage: 12 g per litre
- Drawing time: 2-3 min.
- Water temperature: 72 - 74 0 C
