Japan Miyazaki Gyokuro green tea organic
Japan makes really good green tea. This tea is grown in the Okabe area on the island of Kyoto, one of the most important areas for the cultivation and production of Gyokuro teas. Its distinctive feature is that it is grown in the shade. In the weeks before harvest, plantations are covered with sheets or mats that prevent the sun's rays from penetrating. In this way, the plant secretes more minerals and chlorophyll.
Gyokuro is a Sencha tea that is hand-picked and treated gently and with great reverence throughout the process.
The taste of Miyazaki's Gyokuro tea is elegant, sweet and vegetable at the same time, slightly seaweed-like and unusually soft.
