Huang Ya Cha Yellow Tea
Huang Ya Cha is a yellow tea, meaning 'Yellow Buds', and is a rare tea not widely known in the West.
Yellow tea is characterized by picking small buds in early spring, then roasting them over a wok at very high temperatures for a few seconds.
Once this process is completed, the teas are rolled on bamboo trays and then tightly wrapped in paper or cloth, dried, and fermented over approximately 3 days.
Since Yellow tea is lightly fermented, it is often categorized with white and green tea.
Yellow tea has a delightful sweetness and freshness, yet the tea taste is robust.
