Description

Keemun Mao Feng Organic

Top-quality black organic Keemun tea, which is why it is called Mao Feng (or Keemun GongFu or Xiang Luo). Tea of this quality is typically characterized by large, slightly curled leaves with a small tip, and the flavor is mellow with subtle chocolate undertones and an earthy aroma where you can detect the scent of cocoa. The cup turns a dark amber color.

Keemun tea is produced in the Keemun district of Anhui province, and is a pearl of Chinese black tea. It is the most famous of China's black teas. Because of its subtle and complex character, it is considered the "Burgundy of teas". Since it was first produced in 1856, it became world-famous and has won titles and fame as one of "the three most aromatic teas in the world", and has even been praised as the "Queen Of Fragrance" and "a prodigy of tea" in London, the largest international market for black tea.

Keemun, the southernmost county in Anhui province, where Keemun black tea is produced, is situated at an average altitude of about 400 meters and a climate that borders on being subtropical. Such a natural environment, equipped with a moderate climate, abundant rainfall and cloud-shrouded dense forests on the heights, has been the decisive factor for the typical quality of Keemun black tea.
