Nepal Kanchanjangha black tea TGFOP-1 Organic
Kanchanjangha Tea Plantation is located in Ranitar in the remote hilly region of Panchthar district in eastern Nepal, bordering the Darjeeling tea region, at an altitude of 1300-1800m.
The plantation is located at the foothills of Mount Kanchenjunga, covering the largest vegetation area in Nepal, with a combination of unique blends of natural factors (soil conditions and mineral content) for the growth of these exclusive aromatic teas.
The company was started in 1984 by the local farmers on a cooperative model. Over 100 farmers pooled and joined together their land holdings and became the owners of the first cooperative tea plantation in Nepal, covering nearly 94 hectares of land.
