Lapsang Souchong
This tea, with its smoky aroma and taste, originates from the Fujian province in China. It features large open leaves with a sharp smoky flavor.
This tea is harvested from April to November. Instead of young leaves and buds, the leaves used for this tea are picked from lower down on the tea bushes. After fermentation, the leaves are smoked over pinewood fires rich in resin.
Lapsang Souchong is rarely drunk on its own and is often blended with other types of tea.
