Cumin organic
is an annual, herbaceous plant with an upright and openly branched growth. The seeds are used either whole or ground in, among other things, Indian and Middle Eastern cooking and have a distinctive sharp taste. Cumin, despite the name, cannot be replaced by common cumin, as they are two different plants with very different flavors.
Cumin was first used as a medicine in ancient Egypt and was only later used as a spice. In Denmark, it has previously been used as an important part of love remedies, as it was considered to promote fidelity between two lovers.
Latin name: Cuminum cyminum
