Handmade teapots for the perfect cup of tea

Jugs from Birkerød Pottery radiate unique properties through their design, materials and special firing process. Each piece of pottery is handmade, which gives them a personal touch. Therefore, no two pitchers are alike.

The materials are carefully selected for their durability and aesthetics and consist of high-quality earthenware or stoneware.

The burning process involves two phases. First, the jugs are fired at a high temperature, approximately 1,000 degrees, to obtain a strong core. The jugs are then glazed and fired at approximately .1200 degrees, again to ensure a hard, smooth surface.

This method contributes to the quality and durability of the jugs, makes them resistant to daily use and ensures that they can be enjoyed for many years to come.

We get our tea mugs in 2 sizes:

• Small - 1.5 deciliters
• Large - 2.5 deciliters.

As the jugs are handmade, they can hold differently from each order, but basically these are the sizes they can hold.
