WooJeon green tea organic South Korea
Woojeon is a top quality Korean green tea. Like Japanese Sencha, it is harvested as early as possible in the year. Woojeon is picked before the Monsoon, which is evident from the name: Woo Jeon, which means "before rain".
The manufacturing process of Woojeon is a combination of traditional Japanese and Chinese drying techniques. The freshly picked leaves are first steamed and then fried. This tea thus unites the character of Japanese and Chinese green tea. Woojeon looks and tastes similar to the Japanese Tamaryokucha, which is little known in Europe but is considered Japan's greatest green tea.
